A balance can be achieved between access to content and protection of content.
The dissemination and proliferation of intellectual property protected content via the Internet requires access to right holder and licensing data. Our primary purpose is to provide this data via our Online Use Registry systems. We are currently developing our capacities and are seeking all forms of contribution to this end.
At this time in history it is unacceptable that there is an increased push to dismantle or ignore IP protection mechanisms which encourage contribution to the wealth of creative works made available in the information age. Intellectual property rights are fundamentally human rights.
A balance can be achieved between access to content and protection of content. Our goal is to assist in striking that balance through access to right holder data and promotion of reasonable and transparent licensing terms.
We are opposed to measures that infringe on the rights of individuals to privacy, or negatively impact Internet stability. We are in support of measures such as our registry system that provide the tools necessary to access the rights of all content creators and providers who rely on the Internet as a means of distributing, commercializing and using their IP protected content.
With your support, attaining this goal will become actual, rather than virtual, reality.
